Help - lights above bathroom mirrors

we have hit a snag towards the end of our new home construction (2weeks to handover!). We have inspected the bathrooms and realised that the lights above the mirrors have been placed too high. It looks like they have centered the battens half way between the ceiling and the mirror, which is approx 30cm above the mirror. We don't want our lights waaaay up there, however, we don't particularily want to move the battens, plaster and repaint as it will probably be quite noticable.
