The Palace Theatre Empty The Palace Theatre

The Reading Home Guard parade along Cheapside. In the background can be seen the Palace Theatre, built in 1907. A youthfull Cliff Richard was one of the last acts to play there before it was demolished for an office development in 1962. The Odeon cinema can also be seen.
